The OSID-R is the newest member of the OSID open-area smoke detection family, featuring advanced CMOS imaging technology for fast, reliable detection and reduced overall ownership costs—making it perfect for safeguarding large, open environments. Thanks to CMOS technology, the detector can identify and align with a standard reflector, automatically calibrate its sensitivity, and continuously track the reflector, effectively minimizing false alarms caused by building movement. The OSID-R integrates both transmitter and receiver functions in a single unit, and it can be connected directly to a conventional fire alarm control panel (FACP) or to an addressable/intelligent FACP via zone modules or input/output units.
