This beautiful and extremely well made little Ted Lapidus Couture dress is constructed using a fine silk colored a strong and vibrant pink. Lapidus pieces are a rare find and I think his work is extremely underrated. To find a piece at this level and this gorgeous is a real treat. The dress is extremely well made. Impeccably so. There is a double layer of silk and the bodice employs proper couture construction techniques - done to give the wearer support and shape, sculpting the dress around the body. That band that wraps across the waistline detaches half way around - it closes and snaps into place with matching pink fabric covered snaps all tucked carefully underneath. This gives the illusion that the dress has no openings and does not break the line of the dress. The beaded and rhinestone detailed centerpiece at the front waist hooks into place with a series of silver hook & eye. The back zipper is offset and hidden for the most part under this banding at the waist and the skirt cascades to just past the knee in a column of fine silk. It is truly a work of art and a study in dressmaking techniques. Excellent condition

Fully lined in pink silk and closes with a side painted metal zipper. The entire waist band snaps into place as pictured - the workmanship on this dress is incredible. Primarily hand finished and constructed.
