Vintage 70s handwoven Guatemalan 2 piece set consisting of a maxi skirt with matching blouse.

Gorgeous medium weight black cotton Guatemalan skirt with a woven-in horizontal Mayan design, including quetzal birds, in shades of green, accented with coral red as pictured.

High waist skirt with a banded waistband with a handwoven band as pictured.

Cased elastic waist (elastic in the back only).

Unlined. Does up with a single waistband button and a left side 6" metal zipper.

Comes with a matching blouse in lightweight black gauze with woven-in alternating rows of Mayan squares and quetzal birds and squares.

The collar and wrist-length sleeves with a band of the handwoven quetzal birds match the skirt as pictured.

Does up the center back with a 14-1/2" long black metal zipper.

The blouse is semi-sheer and unlined.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.

Waist: 25" to 27-1/2" Comfortably (due to back elastic waist)

Sweep: 55" - around bottom of skirt

Length: 37" - waist to bottom hem (plus 2" wide turned under hem in case you need it)

BLOUSE MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders: 15-1/4"

Outer Sleeve: 22" (includes 3-3/4" wide Cuff)

Inner Sleeve: 15-1/2"

Bust: 35"

Waist: 35"

Bottom: 39"

Length: 24-1/2" - Top of Shoulder to Bottom

CONDITION: Excellent. No stains, holes, discoloration, fading, rips, tears, or odors.

The only thing is a small fabric flaw on the front of the blouse which does not detract at all, and is best shown in photo four above.
