An amazing early Char messenger bag that will add the perfect hippie chic to any outfit! Completely whip stitched, with hand painted panels on both the front and back, all done to create this fantastic and very wearable piece. These Char piece border on being wearable art and are becoming more and more collectible, especially when they are such a pretty and unusual version like this one is. It is entirely hand made and the leather is hand dyed to a soft, pale green. I love the four panels of leather whipstitched together on the front and back and the amazing floral design painted onto each one. I also love the leather cords dangling from each side where they attach the wide strap. It has that worked in patina that collectors desire and the combination of leathers and the pretty hand painted flowers are fantastic. Excellent condition

Raw leather interior with some "grubbiness" and natural patina to both the interior and exterior consistent with time and normal wear. In pieces like this the natural aging and wear only adds to their sense of history and appeal.
