The E46 M3 E46 CSL is one of the most famous and mythical cars in the world and part of its success is due the carbon airbox and its induction noise. This intake generates what is probably one of the best noises of any sports car. For that reason, many E30 owners want that same experience once completing an S54 engine swap.

As the E46 S54 CSL airbox does not fit directly in the E30 chassis with S54, some modifications are made to this airbox to get a perfect fitment. However, even with the customized airbox, it is recommended that a smaller diameter brake booster is installed to prevent contact (ie: E21 320i or E30 iX).

The E30 S54 Airbox comes without the front inner canalization/air duct that usually brings fresh air from the E46 M3 CSL front bumper due to chassis constraints.
