Basant, meaning spring, is part of our ‘Rooh’ collection and is handwoven in silk and hand dyed by artisans of Bengal. An expression of 'the tree of life', the saree celebrates the rich flora and fauna of the region. Thoughtfully designed in our studio, the strong folk and floral motifs are inspired by the rich tribal and folk art of Bengal. Woven by skilled Jamdani weavers, each warp is handpicked by the artisan to bring every motif to life, thereby upholding the authenticity of the craft and epitomising sustainability.

There may be slight variations in weave and colour in every piece (from the picture). These variations are intrinsic to handwovens, making them unique and beautiful.
