• The twin of this three piece set walked the runway for the Spring 2016 Armani collection for the Look 29.
• It was made under the creative direction of Giorgio Armani.
• That was featured in the ad campaign that year and I love how they paired it with a pop of red for that shot.
  
• This was the 40th anniversary of the Armani label and he had only just recently opened up a museum showcasing four decades worth of his designs.
• Pants were a focus of the collection and sets made up almost the entire runway
• I have all three pieces for you today and each is in a different finish.
• The pants have a ribbed finish and a touch of of transparency to them. Parts of the weave have an underlying thatching to give it an almost checked feel and the weave curves in different directions over the pants. Beading, sequins and rhinestones are set to follow the different directions and done in different shades of blue. I love how this gives the pants a subtle pop of glitz.
• The pants have a flat band at the waist, skim over the hips and narrow slightly in at the bottom of each leg. They are cut in a bit of a crop. They are fully lined in a stretch chiffon like fabric and the exterior fabric has a touch of transparency. They are very pretty and unusual.
• The top is a loosely structured squared off shape. It has a neat little collar in a contrasting fabric and that same fabric runs down the front and edges the front hem. The bottom is rounded and there are three buttons at the top, leaving the top to swing open under that. It also has a very distinct texture and I love how the texture is different from the pants.
• The last part of the set is that extraordinary neckpiece. It has a stiffened collar that you wrap around the neck and it snaps into place at the back. At the front there is a large jewelled feeling resin piece. Suspended from that are multiple piped fringes and here again you see yet another texture on the fabric. Rhinestones have been added and it is meant to sit all the way around front to back.
• I love that the three pieces allow you to mix and match any of the elements with things that you already own. Worn together it becomes one of the defining looks of this collection.
• The top is unlined and closes with three buttons at the front. It has a slight sense of transparency. The pants are lined and they also have a touch of transparency but less than the top. They close with a hidden set zipper at the side. The necklace snaps into place at the back of the neck. The fabric of the pants has stretch. All three pieces appeared to have been worn very little at all.
• The pants and top are tagged an Armani 42
