Exquisite 40s style chocolate brown velvet ankle-length evening gown with matching bolero jacket. Circa 1980s.

The velvet is medium weight and is very plush and rich.

Pretty sweetheart neckline with metallic gold faux metal chain straps as pictured.

The gown features princess seaming for a flattering fit and a high off-center front slit.

Square back and center back long nylon zipper. Completely lined with chocolate brown silky acetate.

Matching bolero jacket features a sweetheart neckline and fastens at the front with a gold-tone metal clasp accented with rhinestones as pictured.

Features short cap sleeves that are cut as part of the bolero bodice with no separate seams.

The jacket is lined with silky chocolate brown acetate and has shoulder pads between the outer velvet and the lining.

DESIGNER LABEL: None - this appears to be made by a skilled seamstress or tailor.

CONDITION: Excellent - The outside of the dress is immaculate - there are no stains, odors, fading, discoloration, streaking, rips, snags, pics, or tears. The interior lining is also in excellent condition with no flaws.
The metallic finish shoulder straps and gold-tone metal clasp are in excellent condition with no issues at all. There is no tarnish, flaking, peeling, or missing rhinestones.

SIZING: No size tag as this is hand made. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

Natural Waist: 32-1/4"

Hips: 40-1/2"

Bottom Sweep: 37" Around Bottom of Skirt (with 26-1/2" off-center front vent)

Length: 54" - Top of Bodice Cup to Bottom Hem
