Michael Jackson managed to get three chart singles with his ?rst solo endeavor; a cover of the bubblegum classic “Rockin’ Robin,” Leon Ware’s “I Wanna Be Where You Are,” and the title track “Got To Be There”. Another great addition is the slow jam “Girl Don’t Take Your Love From Me”, which makes you wonder how good of an artist you have to be, that many years later, people are still listening to a little boy sing love songs. A great start to someone who went on to become legendary.
